The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has decided to postpone the date for its preliminary determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line and pressure pipe from China.

The deadline for the preliminary determination - which had originally been scheduled for December 10, 2009 - is now February 16, 2010.

The DOC is scheduled to make its preliminary determination in the companion antidumping (AD) investigation by February 23, 2010, unless that determination is postponed as well.
