US cut-length plate exports up 9.1 percent in February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cut-length plate totaled 91,193 mt in February 2023, up 9.1 percent from January and up 18.4 percent from February 2022. By value, cut-length plate exports totaled $143.5 million in February, compared to $134.1 million in the previous month and $142.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Mexico in February with 53,390 mt, compared to 51,621 mt in January and 40,904 mt in February 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 30,304 mt; Singapore, with 2,405 mt; and Chile, with 1,086 mt.
