US cut-length plate exports up 35.3 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cut-length plate totaled 107,279 mt in June 2023, up 35.3 percent from May and up 14.5 percent from June 2022. By value, cut-length plate exports totaled $170.8 million in June, compared to $189.3 million in the previous month and $178.6 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cut-length plate to Mexico in June with 73,424 mt, compared to 71,128 mt in May and 48,226 mt in June 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 31,050 mt; and Brazil, with 1,558 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cut-length plate exports in June.
