US-based Amsted Industries will invest $12 million in Hidalgo, Mexico

Chicago-based Amsted Industries will invest around $12 million in Mexico in the central state of Hidalgo to manufacture metal parts for the railway industry, for which it will generate 150 jobs, reported the state Ministry of Economic Development.

The investment will be made through the subsidiary Amsted Seals, a company dedicated to the manufacture of metal parts for the railway, automotive and industrial equipment industries.

The facilities will be in the city of Tepeapulco, located 59 miles northeast of Mexico City and 28 miles south of Hidalgo's capital, Pachuca.
