Urban unemployment rate in China at five percent in April

The registered unemployment rate in cities and towns in China was at 5.0 percent in April this year, down 0.2 percentage points from 5.2 percent in March, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Meanwhile, in the January-April period of the current year, 4.59 million new jobs were created in cities and towns in China.
