The Russian steel producer Ural Steel, a part of Metalloinvest Holding (Metalloinvest), has put in operation a new two-position ladle furnace, which was produced by SMS Demag, for electrical steel treatment. Ural Steel's installation of the new two-position ladle furnace is in line with company's plan to increase its electrical steel production. In addition, the company is planning in the near future to replace an old furnace with a new one, which will have an annual production capacity of one million metric tons.
