Union workers at Vancouver Iron and Steel Monday entered into their third day of strike.  The strike, a first for union workers at Vancouver Iron and Steel, was implemented after rejecting a new four-year contract.  While the contract would have provided a 2.5 percent pay increase, a number of other benefits currently afforded to workers would be cut. At this time, further negotiations have not been scheduled.

Vancouver Iron and Steel, Inc. is based in Vancouver, Washington.  Founded in 2003, the company makes and fabricates steel parts for the transportation industry.
