Unemployment in Turkey declines to 9.3 percent in May

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey rose by 0.5 percentage points year on year to 9.3 percent in May this year, though indicating a decrease from 9.6 percent in April.
 
Meanwhile, in May the employment rate in Turkey increased to 46.9 percent, with a 0.2 percentage point rise compared to the same month of the previous year.
