Turkey's basic metals turnover index increases further in July

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in July this year increased by 12.4 percent year on year and was up 1.6 percent month on month, following the 13.4 percent year-on-year increase recorded in June.

In July, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 18.4 percent year on year and registered a 5.5 percent rise from the previous month, after an increase of 1.9 percent in June compared to May. In July of the current year, the industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing, except machinery and equipment, in Turkey increased by 14.6 percent year on year and decreased by 0.9 percent from the previous month.
