Ukrainian steel product exports down 5.3 percent in Jan-Aug

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-August period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 5.3 percent compared to the same period of last year to 15.384 million mt. In August alone, Ukraine's steel product exports increased by 5.5 percent compared to July, rising to 1.877 million mt.

 

In the first eight months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 4.3 percent increase year on year in its steel product imports to 1.206 million mt. In August alone, Ukraine's steel product imports decreased by 12.4 percent compared to July, falling to 154,600 mt.
