Ukrainian crude steel output expected to rise in June

According to the Ukrainian association of metal producers Metallurgprom, in June this year Ukraine's crude steel production is expected to rise by an estimated 1.5 percent compared to April this year to 2.790 million mt.

According to Metallurgprom's forecast, pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.530 million mt in June, up 5.8 percent compared to April, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to total 2.55 million mt, up 1.96 percent compared to April.

In May, Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.750 million mt of crude steel, 2.520 million mt of pig iron and 2.500 million mt of rolled steel.
