Ukraine’s new car sales down 78 percent in June

According to the data issued by the Ukraine's information and analytical group AUTO-Consulting, in June this year sales of new cars in Ukraine decreased by 78 percent year on year to 11,200 units.

Accordingly, in spite of experts'forecasts, the leader of car sales in the Ukrainian market, Russian car producer AvtoVAZ, continued to register a decrease in its sales in June, principally due to high prices. In June AvtoVAZ' Lada cars sales amounted to 14.8 percent of total car sales in the Ukrainian domestic market, while Hyundai's sales amounted to 10.6 percent due to its more attractive pricing.
