Ukraine’s DMKD to repair BF No. 9 and concaster No. 1

Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works named after F. Dzerzhinsky (DMKD), a subsidiary of the Ukrainian steelmaker Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), plans in late April this year to start the capital repairs of its blast furnace No. 9 and of its continuous billet caster No.1.

Accordingly, during the capital repairs, DMKD will replace the units' main equipment, which has registered significant levels of deterioration.
