Ukraine's coke production down 41.8 percent in Jan-Apr

In the January-April period this year, Ukrainian coke-chemical plants' production of metallurgical coke of six percent moisture content decreased by 41.8 percent compared to the same period last year to 3.29 million mt, according to the Ukrainian Coke Producers' Association (UkrKoks).

In April this year, Ukraine's coke production amounted to 842,000 mt, while in the previous month coke production had totaled 811,000 mt. In particular, Azovsteel (Metinvest) produced 99,000 mt of coke in April, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rig produced 153,000 mt of coke, and Avdiivka Coke (metinvest) produced 160,000 mt.

At the same time, in April this year Ukraine imported 150,000 mt of coal from Russia and Poland.
