Ukraine’s coke production down 36 percent in January-July

In the January-July period this year, Ukrainian coke-chemical plants' production of metallurgical coke with a moisture content of six percent decreased by 36 percent compared to the same period last year to 6.3 million mt, according to the Ukrainian Coke Producers' Association (UkrKoks).

In July this year, Ukraine's coke production amounted to 1,041 mt, while in the previous month coke production was 979,000 mt.

According to the preliminary results issued by UkrKoks, in July of the current year Azovsteel (Metinvest) produced 122,000 mt of coke, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 164,000 mt of coke, Avdiivka Coke (Metinvest) recorded an output of 208,000 mt, while Alchevskkoks (ISD) produced 147,000 mt.
