Ukraine’s coal output increases by 3.8 percent in January-November

According to the data issued by Ukraine's Ministry of Coal Industry, in the first 11 months of this year the country's coal mining companies increased their aggregate coal output by 3.8 percent year on year to 68.474 million mt.

Specifically, Ukraine's production of coking coal in January-November amounted to 21.96 million mt - down 7.1 percent, while its output of power-generating coal totaled 46.513 million mt - up 9.9 percent, both compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, in January-November this year, the state-owned mines controlled by Ukraine's Ministry of Coal Industry produced 34.882 million mt of coal, including 6.826 million mt of coking coal - down 18 percent year on year, and 28.056 million mt of power-generating coal - up 4.7 percent year on year.
