Ukraine initiates supply of steel sheet to U.S

Ukraine has begun supplying cut-to-length plate to U.S in July as a part of annual quota for this product, that was determined with the bilateral agreement between Ukraine and U.S. on CR and HR sheets. Ukrainian Ministry for Economics and European Integration has declared that in July Ukrainian steel companies supplied U.S with 2'712 tons from the allocated annual quota of 130'760 tons. Before July, Ukrainian steel producers did not supply cut-to-length steel to U.S, since the minimum export price for this product was high. Meanwhile, between January and July, Ukrainian metallurgy companies supplied 38'741 tons of flat rolled to U.S, which corresponds to 48.5% of the annual quota allocated to U.S. (80'000 tons).
