According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in January-October of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products rose by 0.5 percent compared to the same period of last year, increasing to 19.872 million mt. In October alone, Ukraine's steel product exports decreased by 3.5 percent compared to September, dropping to 1.782 million mt.
In the first 10 months of the current year, Ukraine registered an 8.8 percent increase year on year in its steel product imports to 1.524 million mt. In October alone, Ukraine's steel product imports increased by three percent compared to September, rising to 186,000 mt.
