Ukrainian authorities have said that Kryvorizhstal, the country's largest steel mill currently owned by Mittal Steel, could be sold to a group of investors for $6 billion. Valentina Semenyuk, the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU)said that although Kryvorizhstal was sold to Mittal Steel last October for UAH 24.2 billion ($4.8 billion), there are several domestic and foreign inventors who are ready to pay UAH 30 billion (approx. $6 billion) for it now. Just to remind, the dispute between Mittal Steel and the SPFU arose when the latter accused the former in non fulfillment of Kryvorizhstal sale obligations at the beginning of the month.
