Vadim Pishcheiko, the director of Economic and Social Policies at the Economic Ministry of Ukraine, has stated that this year there is no rise in the national metal industry. ’So far the metallurgy has been limping and we do not expect any rise in the year', he said. According to Mr. Pishcheiko, the main reason for this weak state of the metallurgical industry lays in the slow improvement in the global prices for metal products. ’If prices for metals rise, the trade balance will be straightening', he commented.
