Turkish PPGI imports up 59.3 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) imports amounted to 3,336 mt, down by 55 percent year on year and falling 29.5 percent compared to October, while the revenue from these imports decreased by 18.8 percent month on month to $2.72 million, falling by 55.5 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
 
In the first 11 months of last year, Turkey's PPGI imports increased by 59.3 percent to 84,147 mt, while the revenue from these imports amounted to $59.6 million, up 26.5 percent, both year on year.
 
In the given period, China ranked first among Turkey's PPGI import sources, supplying 56,166 metric tons, up 82.23 percent year on year. China was followed by Italy and Belgium, with their PPGI exports to Turkey amounting to 11,335 metric tons and 5,583 metric tons respectively.
