Turkish motor vehicle output up 37 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's motor vehicle output totaled 102,574 units, rising 37 percent year on year and down 15 percent compared to December, according to the monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automative Manufacturers' Association (OSD). In January of the current year, Turkey's passenger car output totaled 60,414 units, up 16 percent, while commercial vehicle production amounted to 42,160 units, rising by 83 percent, both compared to January 2014.

The overall production capacity utilization rate of the Turkish automotive industry in January this year was 72 percent.
