Turkish basic metal manufacturing capacity use decreases in Jan from Dec

In January this year, the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 75.1 percent, down from 75.3 percent recorded in December 2016, while the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 74.9 percent in January 2016, according to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of Turkey.
                             
Meanwhile, in January of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, was 68.6 percent, decreasing from 70.5 percent recorded in December and down from 71.2 percent in January last year.
 
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 75.5 percent in January this year, down from the 76.5 percent recorded in the previous month and rising from 74.9 percent in the same month of 2016.
