Turkey’s wire rod exports up 21.8 percent in January

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 21.8 percent year on year to 172,316 metric tons, down 30.6 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $89.17 million, down 32.2 percent month on month and rising by 12.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the given month, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 31,091 metric tons. Israel was followed by the Netherlands with 26,000 metric tons and Romania with 21,892 metric tons.
