Turkey’s steel section exports up 21.4 percent in Q1

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March this year Turkey's total steel section exports amounted to 153,191 metric tons, rising by 12.6 percent year on year and down 21.5 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $114.6 million, up by 14.1 percent compared to March 2011 and down 20.3 percent month on month.

In the first quarter of 2012, Turkey's steel section exports rose 21.4 percent compared to the carresponding petriod of the last year, amounting to 461,158 mt.
