Turkey’s steel profile exports up eight percent in 2011

According to the data provided by Turkey's Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in December 2011 Turkey's total steel profile exports amounted to 171,512 metric tons, rising by 28 percent year on year and up 39 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $135 million, up by 44.7 percent compared to December 2010 and by 33.8 percent month on month.

On the other hand, in the whole year of 2011, Turkey's steel profile exports stood at 1.72 million metric tons, up 7.9 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $1.35 billion, increasing by 31.2 percent as compared to 2010.
