Turkey’s pig iron imports decrease by 21.8 percent in January-February

In February this year, Turkey's pig iron imports amounted to 77,809 metric tons, down 24.7 percent compared to January and decreasing by 50 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue of these imports totaled $35.01 million, decreasing by 23.9 percent compared to January and down 60.8 percent year on year.  

Meanwhile, in the January-February period this year, Turkey's pig iron imports amounted to 181,176 metric tons, down 21.8 percent compared to the January-February period of last year, while the revenue of these imports totaled $81.15 million, decreasing by 41 percent year on year.
