The Turkey PMI™ Manufacturing Index, issued by Istanbul Chamber of Industry and Markit, was at 44.2 points in January, remaining unchanged compared to December’s 44.2 points. Any figure greater than 50 indicates an overall improvement of the sector.

The latest PMI data showed that the challenging market conditions in the Turkish manufacturing sector continued during January. In the same month, decreasing finished product prices led to an easing of the decline in new orders. International demand remaining close to the previous month levels and supporting operating conditions was a sign of positive developments, according to the survey.
