Turkey’s HRC exports up 10.7 percent in January-September

In September this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 32.1 percent year on year to 147,056 metric tons, up 30 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $58 million, rising by 18.6 percent month on month and down 12 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.


 
In the first nine months of the current year, Turkish hot rolled coil exports amounted to 1.06 million mt, up 10.7 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 15.2 percent to $472.8 million, both year on year.
 
In the January-September period, Italy ranked first among Turkey's HRC export destinations, increasing its HRC imports from Turkey by 94.3 percent year on year to 214,836 mt, followed by the US which received 203,233 mt of HRC from Turkey in the given period.
