Turkey’s ferrous scrap imports hit 8.5 million mt in Jan-July

According to the customs statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the January-July period of the current year Turkey's ferrous scrap imports totaled 8.49 million metric tons, decreasing by 30.22 percent year on year.

During the period in question, Turkey's main ferrous scrap source was Europe, with imports of 4.14 million metric tons. This is followed by America with 2.6 million metric tons and the CIS with 1.03 million mt.
