Turkey's CR coil imports up 17.87 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil imports totaled 64,559 metric tons, increasing by 17.87 percent compared to the same month of 2013 and up 8.49 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $44.68 million, increasing by 17.09 percent year on year and up 8.79 percent month on month.

In January of the current year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CR coil import sources, supplying 21,634 metric tons, down 36.23 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given month, Turkey's CR coil imports from Ukraine surged to 18,049 metric tons, compared to 1,572 metric tons in January 2013.
