Turkey’s automotive exports at full pace

Led by passenger car exports totaling $1.44 billion, Turkey's automotive exports rose 46.5% year on year to $4.4 billion during the first four months of 2005. In April alone, automotive exports rose 25% year on year to $1.11 billion. Exports rose 37% in January, 92% in February and 48% in March. Germany was Turkey's largest export market, absorbing $663.4 million worth of automotive exports. Next were Italy, France, the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
