Canadian iron ore production up 9.9 percent in March

According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 5,077,787 mt of iron ore concentrates in March 2026, up 9.9 percent from February 2026 and down 7.7 percent from March 2025.

Canadian iron ore producers shipped 3,448,706 mt of iron ore concentrates in March, up 21.6 percent from February and up 2.2 percent from March 2025.

Closing inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers totaled 7,015,363 mt in March, down 4.5 percent from February and down 38.4 percent from March 2025.
