Tosyali Holding evaluates investment opportunities in Ethiopia

Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael, a state minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with a Turkish business delegation led by Fuat Tosyalı, chairman of Turkish steelmaker Tosyali Holding, on January 9. During the meeting, the two sides explored ways of investing and doing business in Ethiopia and Mr. Tosyalı noted Ethiopia's significant investment opportunity particularly in the field of the steel industry.

Meanwhile, local media in Ethiopia stated that, regarding his business visit to the country, the Tosyali Holding chairman told local media journalists that his company is in the final stage of planning a huge investment in Ethiopia aiming at replacing steel imports. Meanwhile, Mr. Hailemichael stated that Turkey is among the top three investment sources for Ethiopia.
