TISCO reports increase in production

Indian steelmaker Tata Iron & Steel Company (TISCO) announced its crude steel production as 3.2 million tons for April-December 2003 period, up by 6% compared to same period last year while saleable steel production amounted to 3.1 million tons. Domestic sales of the company reached 2.5 million tons in the aforementioned period with an increase of 7% compared to 2.3 million tons recorded in the same period of 2002. Moreover, company's steel exports amounted to 460'000 tons in the same period.
