TISCO in search for a partner to establish steel finishing facility

Indian steel producer Tata Iron and Steel Corp (TISCO) is reportedly looking for a foreign partner to establish steel finishing facilities. The partnership is stated to be in the form of joint venture or strategic alliance. Sources report that many international steel producers have shown interest in the project of TISCO however no information about the names of the companies is revealed. TISCO officials stated that, partnership may be formed through establishing steel finishing facilities or through acquiring existing steel finishing facilities. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, TISCO plans to increase its annual production capacity to 15 million tons by 2010.
