Timken to revamp its rolling mills in Latrobe

Timken Latrobe Steel has recently announced that it plans to revamp its rolling mill in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The new equipments will be supplied by a German company Friedrich Kocks. The new project includes installation of a four-strand 500 mm Reducing and Sizing Block (RSB). With the installation, the blocks will roll from 5.6 to 37.3 mm round products. With this new project, the company aims to increase its productivity and quality of its products, including high-alloyed specialty steels and super alloys.
