The Indian steel producer Tata Steel is negotiating a supply deal to ship chrome ore from Iran for its upcoming ferrochrome plant in South Africa.
The South African ferrochrome plant with a designed annual production capacity of 350,000 metric tons of high carbon ferrochrome will start production from March 31, 2008, Tata has stated.
