The steel plates Tata Steel will deliver between April and September this year will be used to build about 150 onshore wind turbine towers.

The steel plate will be manufactured at Tata Steel's plate mills in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, England, and in Dalzell, Motherwell, Scotland, before being cut to size and edge-profiled at the company's wind tower hub located in Scunthorpe.
