Taiwan's industrial production index in November this year decreased by 3.37 percent compared to October and was down 4.94 percent year on year, according to the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index in November remained unchanged compared to the previous month, while falling by 6.23 percent year on year.
In the first eleven months of this year, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index decreased by 0.8 percent year on year.
In November of the current year, industrial output in the country's basic metal manufacturing sector decreased by 3.36 percent and output of metal product manufacturing saw a slight decline of 2.43 percent, both compared to the previous month. In addition, on year-on-year basis, in November this year output of the basic metal manufacturing sector decreased by 14.95 percent and the metal product manufacturing sector saw a decrease of 7.31 percent in output.
Meanwhile, in November this year, production in Taiwan's machinery and equipment industry fell by 15.42 percent, while output in the automotive industry was down by 7.41 percent, both year on year.
