Taiwan's basic metal output down 1.25 percent in November from October

Taiwan's industrial production index in November this year increased by 0.33 percent compared to October and was up 2.15 percent year on year, according to the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index in November increased by 2.66 percent compared to the previous month and rose by 1,99 percent year on year.

In November this year, industrial output in the country's basic metal manufacturing sector decreased by 1.25 percent and output of metal product manufacturing fell by 4.5 percent, both compared to the previous month. In addition, in November this year output of the basic metal manufacturing sector narrowed by 11.31 percent and the metal product manufacturing sector output contracted by 12.94 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

Meanwhile, in November this year, production in Taiwan's machinery and equipment industry fell by 20.95 percent, while output in the automotive industry was up by 5.54 percent, both year on year.
