CSC’s steel sales down 4.75 percent in September from August

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in September this year its carbon steel sales volume decreased by 4.75 percent to 952,754 metric tons compared to August, accounting for 70 percent of domestic sales. During the first nine months of the current year, the company's carbon steel sales volume amounted to 8.22 million mt, up 13 percent year on year, accounting for 68 percent of domestic sales.

In September, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 29.8 billion ($987.32 million), falling by three percent month on month. In the given month, the company’s operating income totaled NTD two billion ($66.44 million), compared to an income before tax of NTD 1.49 billion in the previous month.
