Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it will supply a new K-Welding line to Taiwan-based steelmaker Tung Ho Steel in order to increase the productivity of the company’s Taoyuan rolling mill No. 1. The commissioning of the new line is expected to take place in autumn 2017.

Danieli stated that the K-Welding line is an in-line automatic continuous welding system for billets ensuring uninterrupted production of long products. The process substantially increases productivity, material yield and plant efficiency, while reducing production costs and maintaining homogeneous material quality throughout the whole endlessly-rolled stock.
