SunCoke extends coke supply agreement with ArcelorMittal for 10 years

US-based SunCoke Energy, Inc. has announced that it has extended its coke supply agreement with global steelmaker ArcelorMittal for 10 years. According to the existing supply agreement, SunCoke provides 1.22 million mt of metallurgical coke annually to ArcelorMittal from its Indiana Harbor coke making operation.
 
SunCoke Energy is additionally carrying out a modernization program at its Indiana Harbor facility which will be substantially complete in the first quarter of 2014, although certain equipment replacement with long-lead order times will not be fully implemented until early 2015.
