A strike this week has caused Venezuelan state-run iron ore producer CVG Ferrominera Orinoco (FMO) to halt production at its San Isidro mine, according to a media report from El Nacional.

The company was not immediately available to comment on Friday whether the strike will continue or if it was lifted.

The media report said the halt has been going on for over a week, since January 9.
