Venezuelan state-owned iron ore producer CVG Ferrominera Orinoco (FMO) said this week it recovered in “record time” a damaged iron ore railway. In late September, several wagons derailed, according to media reports.

Ferrominera said it resumed operations at the railway on October 3, as 30 wagons resumed transporting iron ore from the company’s Ciudad Pilar mine. Neither local media nor Ferrominera estimated losses with the derailed wagons.
