Stemcor, the world's largest independent steel trader, has acquired 100 percent of the share capital of Belgian steel plate stockholder Zimmer Staal bvba.
The Lier, Belgium-based company's business is mainly focused on heavy plate, primarily S235, S335 and shipbuilding grades. Zimmer Staal serves over 300 customers in Belgium, Holland and northern France, also with blasting and painting processes.
