Due to overhaul of equipment and restriction of electricity, rebar supply in South Korea is expected to decrease in January, according to media sources.

Seven rebar producers in South Korea plan to carry out overhauls around the time of the New Year holiday at the start of January. Accordingly, Hyundai Steel plans an eight-day overhaul for its workshop in Incheon. Dongkuk Steel plans a three-day overhaul for workshops in Incheon and Pohang, while YK Steel has planned a five-day overhaul. Another domestic producer KISCO also plans to carry out overhaul work but has not yet issued details of its overhaul schedule.
