Smorgon to close its tube mill at Sunshine

According to recent market news, Australian steel producer Smorgon Steel will close its tube mill at Sunshine in west part of Melbourne. In line with this decision, 70 workers will lose their jobs. The Australian Workers Union announced that the workers will receive their full entitlements. The tube mill will be closed as it cannot compete with cheap imports from Asia.
