Russia-based pipe producer United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has stated that it has signed a contract with Moscow-based company Shtrabag to carry out construction works for one of the most important projects of OMK - the construction of a complex for the production of seamless oil and gas pipes of premium class in Chusovoy in the Perm region.

OMK already has considerable experience in implementing large-scale projects with this company. In 2008-2011, Shtrabag acted as the general contractor in the construction of the wide-sheet mill MKS-5000 at the Vyksa Steel Works, a part of OMK.
